“I want to be a better people leader, but it’s just hard. There’s always something else that requires my attention. I’m always firefighting.”

One of our clients recently shared this struggle.

He’s a small business owner wanting to scale beyond 7 figures.

He knows that he needs to grow as a leader to build a thriving, sustainable business.

But it’s hard, right?

Who has time for personal development when you’re always fighting fires?

In this issue, we’re sharing our practical framework to make personal development part of your daily routine, so you can escape constant firefighting mode and achieve your bigger goals.

Let’s get into it:

When you invest in yourself, you become a better leader, decision-maker, and problem solver.

That’s why we developed the MAPS framework, because we believe that personal growth isn’t nice-to-have; it’s the foundation for your business and career success.

The framework was partly inspired by renowned leadership expert John Maxwell, author of numerous books, including “The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership,” which has become a cornerstone for leadership development worldwide.

If you’re stuck in firefighting mode, definitely give it a go.

THE MAPS FRAMEWORK: 4 STEPS TO GROWING YOURSELF, NO MATTER WHAT

1. Mindset: Commit to your own growth.

2. Accountability: Publicly declare your commitment.

3. Prioritise: Identify and select only 2 (only 2!) growth areas, and dedicate 1 hour daily to both chosen areas.

4. Share: Spend 1 hour weekly on self-reflection and share your progress with those who support your journey.

This framework works because each part plays a crucial role in your progress, and when combined, creates your “MAP” for overall success in building new skills.

The best part is, you only need an hour a day.

Everyone has that, including the firefighters.

Our client is now using it to build his leadership skills despite his super busy schedule, while others are using it to grow their business, find a better lifestyle balance, create effective time management, and deal with anxiety and stress.

For the action takers:

  1. Make a commitment to your personal growth today.
  2. Schedule time to use the MAPS framework in your calendar and take the first step.
  3. Reach out to us for support in quickly executing this process and achieving results for yourself and your business.

Hope this helps and thanks so much for reading!
